To explore the structure of matter, from the macroscopic scale down to the molecular world, is to venture into the heart of the first element: water. The very matrix of life, it covers 70% of our planet and makes up 65% of every living being.
Seemingly simple, it is born of the subtle union of hydrogen and oxygen atoms, bound by delicate electrostatic forces into a coherent and strikingly beautiful whole.
